Multitasking
CooperativeMultitasking- is a type of multitasking that must allow other programs to control the CPU. It is called cooperative beacuse all programs must cooperate for it to work.
Preemptive Multitasking- is a program that decides how long to give to one task before switching to another task to use the operating system. Taking control of the operating system by one task and then switching to the other task is called preemptive. Preemptive multitasking allows the computer system to more reliably guarantee each process a regular "slice" of operating time
Threading- is the smallest unit of processing that can be used by the operating system. A thread is contained inside a process. If their are multiple threads in the process it is know as memory. Running in the OS (Operation System) in the program.
