Cooperative Multitasking- is a type of multitasking that must allow other programs to control the CPU. It is called cooperative beacuse all programs must cooperate for it to work.
Preemptive Multitasking- is a program that decides how long to give to one task before switching to another task to use the operating system. Taking control of the operating system by one task and then switching to the other task is called preemptive.
Threading- is the smallest unit of processing that can be used by the operating system. A thread is contained inside a process. If their are multiple threads in the process it is know as memory.
During the past few weeks we learned about programming on the computer with Robot Basic. Now that we moved on from that we are now learning the basic of programming on the micro controller. Which we haved learned how to wire the led light, resistors, etc to the micro controller. After having did all this we are able to use a program called basic stamp to program it to do anything such as making the led light blink slow, fast, medium. A few days ago we also did this amazing thing with the micro controller; we attached a 7 segment display which i felt is like a scoreboard. This 7 segment display can display numbers and letters. I am looking forward to finishing this program and see what new things I can learn.

propagation delay- is the amount of time it takes for the head of the signal to travel from the sender to the receiver.
Attenuation coefficient -is a quantity that characterizes how easily a material or medium can be penetrated by a beam of light, sound, particles, or other energy or matter.
Reflection- is the change in direction of a wavefront.
Dispersion- the dependence of wave velocity.
Jitter- is the difference in end-to-end delay between selected packets in a flow with any lost packets being ignored.
Latency- is a measure of time delay experienced in a system.
Collisions when two or more stations attempt to transmit a packet across the network at the same time.

Cyclic Redundancy Check-is an error-detecting code commonly used in digital networks and storage devices to detect accidental changes to raw data.
Two-dimensional parity-is a simple type of error correcting code that operates by arranging the message into a multidimensional grid, and calculating a parity digit for each row and column.
Internet checksum-A checksum is a simple error-detection scheme in which each transmitted message that results in a numerical value based on the value of the bytes in a message

    ...
Multimode fiber optic cable has a large-diameter core that is much larger than the wavelength of light transmitted, and therefore has multiple pathways of light-several wavelengths of light are used in the fiber core.
Singlemode fiber optic cable has a small core and only one pathway of light. With only a single wavelength of light passing through its core, singlemode realigns the light toward the center of the core instead of simply bouncing it off the edge of the core as with multimode.
    light is measured in nanometers
Visible light has wavelength in a range from about 380 nanometres to about 740 nanometres

2.2.Light is measured in what units?
Light is measured with two main alternative sets of units: radiometry consists of measurements of light power at all wavelengths, while photometry measures light with wavelength weighted with respect to a standardised model of human brightness perception. Photometry is useful, for example, to quantify Illumination (lighting) intended for human use.

3.What is the wavelength range of visible light?
